The UAE has officially confirmed the Eid Al Adha 2026 holiday schedule for private sector employees. According to the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE), workers in the private sector will enjoy a 4-day paid holiday from Tuesday, May 26, to Friday, May 29, 2026. Employees with regular Saturday and Sunday weekends can look forward to a relaxing 6-day break.
Meanwhile, federal government employees will receive an even longer 5-day holiday, creating the possibility of a 9-day extended vacation when combined with the weekend. Public sector offices are scheduled to reopen on Monday, June 1, 2026.

In Sharjah, government employees are set to enjoy one of the longest breaks during the festive season. Due to the emirate’s 4-day workweek and 3-day weekend system, the Eid and Arafah holidays will turn into a massive 10-day holiday break for many employees.
