Official Statement from GDRFA Chief
During a press briefing, Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA in Dubai, stated:
“We are doing everything for the residents. Live here, follow the rules.”
This new policy urges all residents to take responsibility for any pending traffic penalties before applying for a visa renewal.

Understanding financial challenges, Al Marri assured that installment plans are available for those with large fine amounts.
“If the traffic fine is a big amount, they can pay in instalments. We are not making it hard for people.”
