Google Pixel users have lately reported an irritating glitch in the At a Glance widget, which displays outdated weather predictions on their lock and home screens. According to Android Police and users on Reddit and Google’s support forums, the problem appears to continue across different Pixel devices and Android versions.
Problem: Inaccurate Weather Forecasts
Many Pixel users have reported anomalies in the weather data displayed on their smartphones. While the present temperature looks to be correct, the forecasted high and low temperatures are obsolete. Some users have noted that in the morning, the widget displays the previous day’s prediction as the current day’s, and in the evening, the current day’s forecast as the following day’s.

RKirk, a Pixel user, said on Google’s support forum
“It’s showing the weather for the correct location, but in the morning, it shows yesterday’s forecast as the temperature for today, and in the evening, it shows today’s forecast as the weather for tomorrow.”
Other Reddit users have expressed similar issues, claiming that while the weather data in the main Weather app is accurate, the widget continues to display outdated information.
Possible Causes and Google’s Response
The flaw appears to be connected to a server-side vulnerability, impacting many Android versions, from Android 13 through 15, and various Pixel variants, including the Pixel 7, Pixel 8A, and the newest Pixel 9. The time of the fault matches with Google’s recent implementation of a floating action button in the Pixel Weather app, suggesting a probable tie.
Google spokesperson Matthew Flegal addressed the issue:
“We’re currently rolling out a fix for an issue causing outdated weather forecasts on the At a Glance widget for some Pixel users.”
What Can Pixel Users Do?
The issue is on Google’s end, so there is little users can do to fix it themselves. However, here are some possible workarounds:
1. Wait for Google to roll out the fix, which is currently in progress.
2. Use an alternative weather app or widget until the issue is resolved.
3. Open the Weather app regularly to check for accurate forecasts.
Pattern of Pixel Bugs
Unfortunately, this is not the first time Pixel users have reported strange glitches. Pixel smartphones have previously suffered from issues such as missing functionality in the Weather app, alarms failing to sound, and numerous UI irregularities. While Google is well-known for its technological advances, these ongoing issues continue to annoy consumers who demand a smooth experience.

For the time being, impacted Pixel owners will have to wait for Google to release the repair. Hopefully, this update will fix not just the outdated weather glitch, but also the missing weather map tile issue, which several users have experienced.
Stay tuned for more updates as Google works to resolve these issues.
