Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav shared a video on X, highlighting Hyperloop’s potential in revolutionizing modern travel. He stated that the government has twice granted $1 million to IIT Madras for this project, with a third grant of $1 million now due. According to media reports, the Hyperloop will enable travelers to cover 300 km in just 30 minutes.

Spanish company Gelross is developing the Hyperloop system with the goal of connecting European cities at speeds of up to 1,000 km/h.
Indian Railways is planning a Hyperloop route between Bengaluru and Chennai. The Railway Ministry, in collaboration with IIT Madras, is researching this technology, which could reduce travel time to just 30-40 minutes.
