Microsoft has formally launched a new Windows app that improves remote PC access for Windows PCs as well as macOS, iOS, iPadOS, and Android devices. This tool increases the remote work efficiency and user experience by acting as a single hub for streaming Windows environments from many sources, including Windows 365, Azure Virtual Desktop, and Remote Desktop.

USB Redirection: Connect local devices like webcams and printers to your cloud PC.
Advanced Security: Multi-factor authentication provides a secure connection.
Currently available only with Microsoft work and school accounts, the app lets users switch from Remote Desktop to this one, unified platform. Improved speed with Relayed RDP Shortpath, support for Windows 365 Frontline Cloud PCs, and device management actions are among the new enhancements.

What’s Next: This application embodies Microsoft’s long-term goal of transferring Windows to a cloud-based architecture to provide more flexibility and AI-powered services. Although consumer accounts aren’t supported just yet, access has been expanded with the Android version’s public preview.
