Description
These short production, glossy-dialed Subs are thought to have been made for only ~9 months from mid-1988 into 1989 before being replaced by the 16610. The 168000 set itself apart from its counterparts with its new 904L stainless steel. Other than that it’s is near-identical to its 16800 predecessor.
This example has a rare ‘spidering’ dial where the lacker is cracking. There aren’t that many of these dials around since Rolex would replaced them with service dials.
Watch is in good shape and runs well. It does have wear marks on the metal parts and the aluminum bezel. The crystal looked clean but I didn’t loupe it. Comes on a 93150 bracelet with L code that matches the watch’s production year.
Watch and box only.
