Starting July 1, Armenia will allow UAE residents to enter without a visa, Khaleej Times confirmed. To qualify, travelers must have a residency visa that’s valid for at least six more months from their arrival date.
Before this update, only UAE citizens could enter Armenia without a visa. Residents needed to get a visa on arrival.
Now, under the new rule, people can visit Armenia for tourism, business, or leisure without a visa for up to 90 days within a 180-day period. The policy includes all passport holders living in Gulf countries and anyone with a valid residency permit from any GCC nation.
Armenia’s Tourism Committee said this move will make travel easier for many expats living in the Gulf region.
