As reported by Gulf News, Decree No. (31) of 2025 introduces new provisions that entitle eligible employees to 10 working days of fully paid marriage leave.
Who is Covered by the Decree?
This new legislation applies to:
- Emirati employees working in Dubai government departments
- Employees in authorities that oversee special development zones and free zones, including the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC)
- Members of the Emirati judicial authority
- Emirati military personnel based in Dubai (excluding cadets)
This broad coverage ensures that a wide range of public sector workers benefit from the newly introduced leave entitlement.
Flexibility in Leave Use
